Hi, where did I go wrong ?

Hi,
I was just wondering if anyone would give me an idea where I went wrong in the following game :

I seemed to generate no counterplay at all and was slowly squeezed.

I like to play the Marshall Gambit, but if they don't let me how should I play against this n-f1-g3- f5 plan
9. d5 is more active
After d5, moving the Knight, after c4, to c5 pressuring e4.
Playing g6 before the Knight can get to f5.

Typical motifs for the chigorin are the king-side maneuvers shown in this video aiming for f5. Also, some ideas trading rooks down the a-file, entering an endgame, sacking a piece for two pawns at a precise moment, and pressuring the opponent with queening pawns.
Why did you have to play c4? What was your plan for a counter-attack?
Why did you move your knight a5 to c8 to b8? You could have moved it back to a5 and then to c4 to develop your queenside and help control the middle.
Why 12. Nb8? It just undevelops a knight and wastes a tempo.
