Slump

I'm not entirely sure how to describe this, but I'm going to give this a shot.

I'm in a "slump"

I float between 2000 - 2200 on here, consistently, and over and over again I'm playing the same lines and concepts. Games are starting to blend together. Same tricks, ideas, tactics, etc. Lines work against certain rated players, and I get punished against the higher rated guys.

I'm not entirely sure how to get out of it. Is the answer studying? How do you recommend getting out of a "slump", because I'm starting to lose the desire to play. Sometimes its just not fun anymore.
Are you doing anything else chess-related other than play bullet? If not, you shouldn't really expect any improvement. Bullet is a lot of fun, but you'll pretty much play at your rating strength (plus or minus swings). If you're interested in improvement, play longer games and mix in a dose of study.
Thanks amazingoid, very helpful. Yeah Im pretty much exclusively playing bullet. Hesitant to do longer time controls cause of engine abusers.
