Such a fun series crazyhouse

Chess variantChessAnalysis
A 20-Game Series went down to the wire!

What a wild series, mang ("man" in slang). 10 games into the series, I went ahead and told my opponent: "Maximum of 10 more games for me—if you'd like to play fewer, that's fine." My crescendo leads to the Zenith. The Apex. The Denouement. It all came down to one last game for all the marbles. I had 10 wins and my opponent had 9. Even if I lost, the series was split. I had nothing to lose. Yet I had everything to lose. I decided to turn the heat up for the finale. I knew I could win. Just Believed in Myself. [KEEP THE POSITION OPEN, I would constantly tell myself in the series. His style is closed, mine the opposite. He plays 1.d4 in crazyhouse, and I play 1.e4 in zh (with some 1.Nf3 for variety). A few games into the series, I knew that the proper strategy was to break open the center if he played 1.d4.]

His first move shocked me. In the last game of the series, he played 1.e4. He played 1.d4 every other game. Why would he do that?! So I thought to myself: "He is asking for a loss!" But I told myself: "Focus, Kent. Do what you always do, we train for this moment." Everything took care of itself. My opponent ran out of an attack, and I won on time. He was fast!! I am, too. Yet we all have deficiencies in our games. But one of my strengths is time-scramble technique. My friend, Manyamis_Manyak, was helping me warm up before the bout. He is known for LEGENDARY time-scramble speed in UltraBullet. He almost beat me berserking in an UltraBullet game. I know, sounds crazy, right? What did he have, 7.5 seconds vs. my 15? Goodness gracious.

Etiquette is a nice thing to do. I said: "last please", before the last game of the series. The drums were rolling. My heart beat faster. It has all come down to this, and I won! Styles Make Fights. From every chess player, a Winner is born. I shouted in elation. Much respect to my opponent, who fought valiantly. It was just my day. And what I shouted is

Not any of your business.
