Hikaru's Blitz Repertoire 2023

You forgot to mention 1. e4 2. h4 against the Modern Defense (it's not used often but it leads to completely different positions).
Great blog ! well I tried several times against Hikaru and its tough to play him

only got 1 draw with White where he tried the Gurgenidze system 1..g6, 2..c6 and 3..d5 , I made sure to play h2-h3 to avoid Bg4

When he plays White, its so difficult to match up his speed and level.

lots of losses in bullet against him. see the examples from 2023 in the study

I think in a blitz game 2...h5 should work. Probably, the strongest is Bg7-c5 which leads to some weird Sicilian, but indeed - it is a completely different opening. Realistically, 2...h5 will likely transpose the game to Nc3-Be3 lines. I will try to play that and see how it works XD

Wesley doesn't play online too much. But I will take a look; maybe can find something interesting

Ok! Thanks !
no worries, I think showing Oleksandar Bortnyk repertoire would be great.

with White, he plays 1d4 and 2Nc3 Jobava London and also 1e4 c5 2c3 Alapin

with Black he plays Alekhine Defense 1e4 Nf6

____________
another great player would be Naroditsky, also a 1d4 Nf6 2Nc3 Jobava London player . as they worked on this opening together, checking where they differ with White ?
@chesslatte64

Yes, Bortnik is a good idea; he has a narrow repertoire which seems to be very effective for shorter time controls and especially Arena formats
