deleting forum posts/comments

This has always been a controversial issue. I've been running forums for over 20 years. When you give someone the power to delete his posts, you're also giving that person the power to destroy (willingly or unwillingly) the logic of a forum thread and all the replies, something which really doesn't belong to him. So, the most accepted policy is that a forum admin will give that person the right to close his account and thus have his name removed from all his posts. I think this is the fair thing to do... This is widely accepted nowadays and does not contravene General Data Protection Regulations.
This will take most of the fun of forums , It is my opinion and every update has haters
However , The post deleted is still visible in latest forum posts section which is on the bottom most side of site hompage
Here is a thing: The contents of deleted posts will still show up in a users post history (when you click on 'Forum posts' on the users profile page). If you do not want this, and you can still edit the post, then edit the post first and replace it with something like '[deleted]', then delete it.
<Comment deleted by user>
Yes, from now on we have to be friendly and respectful to other people so that they don't leave us standing alone in the rain. Merde.
Yup. I created a post which got 0 replies. I deleted my comment :)

Edit : I had a chance to delete this comment and add what I want to add, but I won't because I'm a good guy:).

So what I want to add is that the deleted comment is however still showing on my profile, unfortunately:(
