FIDE Picks Breast Implants as a Sponsor for Women's Chess

What I don't get is that how come it is so hard to find decent sponsors. Chess is a popular hobby in the world and one would think that there is a lot of companies lining up to be a sponsor. Maybe the main reason for this is that fide marketing team and national federations just aren't very good at their job.

This makes me feel sick. Anyone who thinks this is somehow a good thing is absolutely wrong. If you are a parent would you like to teach your girl that to succeed in life she needs big boobs? Or good looks? Or would you say to your girlfriend or wife that to be good at something she needs to be prettier?

In contrast: how would you feel if fide creates an image that as a man you can only succeed in chess if you have big enough dick? That small dick will automatically result to bad play and only way to improve your play is to make your dick bigger.

Biggest question for me is that do we want to players of any sex feel comfortable just the way they are and help them achieve that or do we really want that players are only accepted when their looks are in some type.

Some say that it is good that there is money goming but this is shortsighted. New players won't come to play if the message is that their looks are not enough. So even if we will have money now we will not have it tomorrow.
There are some who are defending women's right to do what she wants to do her body and we should not try to shame women who have modified their body. And they are absolutely right. But in this case that is not the case.

In this case the case is that we are creating an environment that demands it. It's not the persons choice what the person wants to look when thet environment creates the standard of the image what the person should look like.

And the looks should not matter in chess at all. If you disagree you are sadly just wrong.
