I've abou had it with lichess running like a communist car

Dear lichess team,

I love playing chess on your website. At least on those rare occassions when your website doesn't run like utter s%it. Which happens less and less often.

Obviously your server and/or people running it are completely inadequate. Please replace them.

Or

You promote yourselves as ad-free and fee free community. Ok, its ok to be free of those things if you can provide smooth experience. But you don't. Not even close. You're the worst run website I've seen on the internet in a while. Which is the shame because your interface is absolute perfection and you have an army of players.

Please start charging a fee or running ads or fire whoever is responsible for your website performance.

I absolutely hate itiotic chess.com but I've been playing there more often these days because as moronic as their website is, I can complete a game there without Reconnecting... cannot connect to lichess.org style errors every other freaking game.

Even with ads and interface idiocy I find chess.com far less frustrating to use.

Please fix yourself lichess.

OP has a point though. something is weird, @kathiyitis was also streaming earlier and he couldn't go 2 games in a row without having the dreaded "reconnecting" popping up :s

Why so angry? If you're having connection issues, sit down the mouse and go outside. Lichess has good hardware.

While I agree lichess also known as Lagfest lol has its bugs, nothing is perfect, chess.com has the bug of being a shit, money hungry ugly interfaced site "add a little bonus critic here" with no variants like Antichess! :D

on a serious note i have experienced your problem before, and i have manged to fix it.

2 things

1-What browser are you using ? this is very important as nothing works as good as chrome.

2-if that doesnt help then you may have connection/internet problem

if these 2 things are ok then you shouldnt have that problem so to conclude all the salt you just spilt was your end, lichess is not to blame.

i hope lichess stays the way it is always and promote
antichess further cuz its a beautiful variant more than any other if you could see what i see :D

Yeah I've also been having some major connection issues lately. I also wrote a thread about it, though not as creatively as "running like a communist car" bit I must say. Mostly just chiming in to help eliminate the possibility that it's just a client packet loss issue.

Thanks for the insults, OP. That's probably what we need.

Lichess servers are running perfectly, but the same thing cannot be said of the worldwide network. There's always lag or disconnection for a country or another. Nothing we can do about it.

Don't really care for the insults but I really think there is a problem. I've been experiencing the same issue ('Reconnecting') today a lot.
